All the Answers You Need

HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT OR MAKE A REFERRAL?

GP, Pediatrician or Psychiatrist referrals can be emailed to therapygmp@gmail.com.
Self referrals can fill in the form on the contact page or call me direct to schedule an appointment.

WHY A MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT PLAN AND HOW DO I GET ONE?

A Mental Health Treatment Plan can be obtained from your GP/doctor. This will mean that some of your session fee will be covered by Medicare.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

Things come up, I get it. Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time set aside especially for you, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation of an appointment. If for any reason a session is cancelled less than 24 hours prior, a fee will be charged. This will be clear within the service agreement. There are some exceptions to this policy, so please let me know your circumstance if the late cancellation is unavoidable. Please note that most insurance does not reimburse for missed sessions.

HOW LONG WILL THE PROCESS TAKE?

Mental Health is an individual journey. The number of sessions varies by condition, treatment type and individual preference. It is not always a linear journey and it might be that you take breaks between therapy. We can decide treatment goals together and I can provide an oversight of the  recommended therapy and how long this might take.

DO YOU NEED CLINICAL SUPERVISION?

Are you working towards your mental health accreditation, or do you require clinical supervision from a mental health clinician? I can work with you towards meeting your continued professional development goals. Contact me for further information.
