Evidence Based Treatments

Gemma values a holistic approach in working with Mental Health. Gemma uses Psychoeducation as part of the process to empower the people and help improve treatment outcomes. Gemma has expertise in a range of treatments including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), EMDR, EFT and Family Based Therapy for Adolescent Eating Disorders. Gemma also has skills and experience using CBTE, Art Therapy and Internal Family Systems.
Gemma is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker providing Psychotherapy, Counselling and Clinical Supervision services.
Gemma is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician registered with the ANZAED.
Gemma is an EMDRAA registered EMDR provider.
Gemma (she/her) is from the UK and moved to regional Victoria in 2017. Like many people in our work Gemma had her own experience of childhood trauma and adversity that led to a life long commitment to growth, learning and supporting others along the way.

Gemma founded GMP Therapy. Through-out training and practice Gemma has worked in a range of family and youth services. Gemma has extensive experience working within Child Protective services and in leadership positions within youth community mental health. Gemma is committed to providing a safe, culturally inclusive and person-centred space for people of all backgrounds and identities.
Gemma identifies as an Ally to people that identify as part of the LGBTIQA+ community. Gemma works and volunteers with people and organisations that specialise in this area to celebrate diversity and promote inclusion.
Gemma strives towards Allyship to culturally diverse people and shares some personal understanding of migration, integration into community and its challenges.
Gemma strives towards Best Practice and Allyship to our First Nations people and extends respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culture and elders past, present and emerging.

Dallas is a Mental Health Social Worker
Dallas joined us for her final placement from La Trobe University, where she is studied a Bachelor in Social Work (Hons). Dallas (She/Her) enjoys being outdoors, reading books, playing league tag, and spending time with her cat.
Dallas has a lot of experience, having worked within similar roles before and throughout her degree. She has a desire to help people and values deep listening, empathy, humour, and compassion to support a person’s growth and development. Dallas has a special passion and experience in supporting young people, whether a young adult, growing teenager, or youngster. She believes that everyone deserves safety, support for their development, to be themselves, and to richly experience life.

Dallas has worked within local organisations that support and empower young people and families. Dallas has a kind, compassionate and patient nature. Dallas thrives in challenging environments with youth that have complex needs and are connection seeking through challenging behaviours.

Dallas has a special interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Dallas is trained in Narrative Therapy and a range of trauma and eating disorder interventions.
Having worked with neurodivergent community in another role, Dallas also has a lot of experience in targeting and supporting executive function challenges for those with ADHD and / or Autism.

Amy (She/Her) is a dedicated and compassionate Credentialed Mental Health Nurse (CMHN) with nearly 20 years of experience in providing holistic care.

Amy holds a Master's in Mental Health Nursing, along with post-graduate qualifications in Developmental Psychiatry and Perinatal and Infant Mental Health. Amy is Credentialed by Australian College of Mental Health Nurses, which is a hallmark of excellence and professionalism in mental health nursing. It demonstrates Amy’s dedication to high standards, expertise, commitment and competence.

With a foundation in evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, Amy empowers individuals to understand and manage their mental health. Her person-centered approach focuses on collaboration and trust, tailoring interventions to each client’s unique needs.
Key skills and experience

Amy has extensive experience working with adults, youth and families. Amy is passionate about attachment and applies this expert knowledge to a range of presentations or needs. Amy's primary focus is in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health. She is guided by Donald Winnicott’s belief: "There is no such thing as a baby, only a baby and someone." This highlights the vital connection between the baby and caregiver, a relationship central to Amy’s clinical work and her support for the transition to and through motherhood.
